Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) | New Entry Requirement for Foreign Travelers from May 2025

Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will implement the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a mandatory online form for all non-Thai nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea. This initiative aims to streamline immigration procedures, enhance security, and eliminate the need for traditional paper forms.Tourism Authority of Thailand

Key Points About the TDAC:

  • Mandatory for All Foreign Travelers: Completion of the TDAC is required for all foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travelers, and long-term residents.
  • Submission Timeline: The TDAC must be completed online within three days before your arrival in Thailand. For example, if you plan to arrive on May 5, you can submit the form starting from May 2.
  • Exemptions: Travelers transiting or transferring through Thailand without passing through immigration control and those entering using a Border Pass are exempt from this requirement.

How to Complete the TDAC:

  1. Access the Official Portal: Visit the Immigration Bureau’s official website at https://tdac.immigration.go.th.
  2. Provide Personal Information: Enter your full name, nationality, passport details, contact information, and other required personal data.
  3. Enter Travel Details: Include your flight number, purpose of travel, and address in Thailand (such as hotel or residential address).
  4. Submit the Form: After ensuring all information is accurate, submit the form. You will receive an acknowledgment email upon successful submission.
  5. Present at Immigration: Upon arrival in Thailand, present the acknowledgment email along with your travel documents to the immigration officer for verification.

Benefits of the TDAC System:

  • Faster Immigration Processing: Pre-submission of arrival information allows for quicker processing at entry points.
  • Reduced Paperwork: The digital system eliminates the need for paper forms, contributing to environmental conservation.
  • Enhanced Security: Centralized digital data collection improves border security measures.

Important Reminders:

  • Timely Submission: Ensure the TDAC is completed within the specified timeframe to avoid any travel inconveniences.
  • Accuracy of Information: Double-check all entered information for accuracy to prevent issues during the immigration process.
  • Assistance Available: For travelers unable to complete the TDAC before arrival due to exceptional circumstances, assistance will be available at designated help points at immigration checkpoints. However, pre-submission is strongly encouraged to avoid delays.
